Brief Introduction of FPC UV Laser Cutting Method
What is FPC? The FPC is a printed circuit board having a pattern made of a flexible substrate, with high wiring density, light weight, thin thickness and so on. Flexible circuit boards are mainly used in mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras, and other products, especially for complex lines, signal processing requirements of high intelligence equipment.
The working principle of FPC laser cutting machine is using 355nm UV short wavelength laser beam scanning on the FPC surface, so that high-energy ultraviolet photon directly damage the surface of the flexible chemical bonds to achieve the purpose of removal of materials.
UV laser processing belongs to "cold processing", the heat affected area etched by this cold light is small, with a smooth edge and a minimum of carbonation, ensure that FPC product quality is very good.
This method has many advantages:
1.UV laser processing is non-contact processing, processing parts of the heat affected zone is very small;
2.high-performance UV lasers, focusing spot is small, power distribution is uniform, thermal effect is small, slit width is small and smooth;
3.Use CCD image positioning technology, automatically positioning, focusing, so that positioning is fast and accurate.
